Red Bull X-Fighters is a fabulously entertaining title from Xendex.  While this game has nothing to do with bulls or fighting it has everything to do with flat out fun and awesome visuals as you perform radical motocycle stunts at dizzying heights above roaring crowds while a gorgeous 3D camera pans and zooms to catch every stunning move and painful crash as your rag doll body gets thrashed by each improper landing.  It’s both beautiful and gruesome.

  

X-Fighters makes great use of the Iphone’s touch and tilt capabilities. You perform tricks with an innovative finger swiping of figures (triangles, rectangles etc.) while the game goes into a midair super slow motion and zooms in on your acrobatics.   The finger swiping takes a while to perfect but the slow- mo gives you plenty of time to carefully trace figures and string together wild tricks, gain fans and unlock bikes, outfits and locations.  You balance your bike by tilting or if you prefer you can change to touch.
The basics are all carefully explained in a spectacular ski-jump location.

  

The complete game is a long and addicting ride with a cool replay feature, tons of achievements and every trick imaginable.  You unlock 6 different locations along with
the ski jump area and each new location has six events where you need to collect a bronze trophy to advance.  These events require you to perform certain tricks in a minimum time, do a freestyle showoff run for  points or compete in a time trial alongside a ghost rider.  You accumulate fans with each run and unlock new outfits and bikes.

  

The rag doll physics are great and will bring moans and groans from your horrific crash landings.  But your recovery is immediate as you can dust off and restart easily thanks to the quick playing design of this title.  Red Bull X-Fighters is one of the most enjoyable Iphone games of the year and the smile it brings to my face demands 4 Stars.  I urge you to try the recently released lite version.
